On Wednesday January 12th the new official Information center Austerlitz-Rohlenka for the Austerlitz battlefield has been opened by the Project Austerlitz 2005. Finally the battlefield area has its information center which can provide visitors with all the information on all attractions of the region. The Information center is opened daily non-stop. It is located directly in the facilities of the Motel Rohlenka on the D1 motorway Brno-Olomouc (207,5 km) with slip lanes both from the direction Brno and Olomouc. The motel was built 15 years ago on the place of the original pub. In the reception there are informative materials in five languages available along with other related information and various souvernirs for sale.
During January a new multimedia room with capacity of ca. 60 persons will be opened mainly for guided tours clients. There they will be able to watch the audiovisual program about the battle of Austerlitz or find different information in the multimedia work stations. In the entire Information center, in the motel as well as in various restaurants there are on-line work stations available connected to the internet with high-speed technology WLAN (WIFI) provided by T-Mobile. Thanks to the helpful approach of the motel owners the Project Austerlitz 2005 has gained the exclusive contact place which – opposite to other information centers – will be opened non-stop and its services constantly extended.
