During the weekend of July 9th-11th the Czech re-enactment units mainly of the Central European Napoleonic Society (CENS) took part in the celebration of the 195th anniversary of the 1809 battle of Znaim. The event was hosted by the community of Dobsice near the city of Znojmo (Znaim).

This year’s event is the last one before the great 200th anniversary for which we prepare ourselves well in advance.
Today it has been 15 years!
Yes, it was on November 17th 1989 when after long years the communist regime had fallen in the former Czechoslovakia. Thanks to that next year we will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the commemorative events of the battle of Austerlitz.
