A presenation of the wines will follow in the central of the OECD in Paris, where the wines will be degusted by the reprentatives of the diplomatic corps of this organization. This year, Mr. Yann Juben, secretary general of the O.I.V. (International Organisation of Vine and Wine), who has participated in the last two years of the competition as observer, is going to be member of the jury. Mr. Jean-Michel Deluc, director of the Académie du vin, will be president of the jury, composed of representatives of the organizators of the competition, Mr. Martin Pastyrik, president of the Association of sommeliers of the Czech Republic, Mr. Libor Nazarcuk, vice-president for Moravia, together with sommerliers of France.
About 50 wines from 11 producers were chosed for the competition. The wines will automatically be nominated to the international wine exhibition Grand Prix Austerlitz that will take place on the 14th august 2010 in Slavkov u Brna (Austerlitz) as part of the program of the Napoleonic Days. The cooperation with the french colleagues started especially thanks to the membership of our assocication of sommeliers in A.S.I. (Association de la Sommellerie Internationale) and thanks to the Austerlitz phenomenon; for our french colleagues the project of the same name, active in history and commemorative events of the battle of Austerlitz, is attractive.
The results of the competition are an interesting guidance and source of information for the wine producers who take part at the competition and get the opinion of the top experts on their production. They may use them in marketing and presentatin of their wines in the Czech republic and abroad. Positive reference of the clients may certainly be confirmed by the wine producers who gained the high appreciation in the past years, among them Znovin, Vinarstvi Marcincak, Vinarstvi Hort, Bohemia Sekt, Jedlicka – Novak, and others.
