On Saturday 17th January 2015 the Old Post in Pozořice hosted the 2015 Central European Napoleonic Society annual general meeting. We hereby would like to thank the Old Post owner Jiří Podolský for his helpfulness and accommodation. The AGM’s program included membership matters, a Napoleonic re-eactment calendar for 2015, a post-mortem report on Austerlitz 2014, a discussion on the top event of the year: the Waterloo bicentennial, a discussion on plans regarding Austerlitz 2015 and many other particular topics.
C.E.N.S. is still formed by 36 groups (ca. 500 members) from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Hungary and Lithuania. The C.E.N.S. Committee has been confirmed in the following composition: Jakub Samek (president), Ondřej Tupý, Richard Klimovič (vice-presidents), Petr Košťál, Radek Pařízek, Tomáš Doležal, Zdeněk Ševčík. C.E.N.S. events for 2015 are Valtice (17.-19.4.), Napoleonic Days (14.-16.8.), Olmütz (18.-20.9.) and Austerlitz 2015 (4.-6.12.).
Ranks of C.E.N.S. have been left by k.k.I.R.20 grenadiers from Ostrava under Lubomír Partyka but on the other hand the k.k.K.R.2 from Austria under Nikolaus Schmid, 4th Jaeger regiment of the Russian army from Poland under Mariusz Bura and Polish-Italian Legion from Poland under Marek Gniewek and Krzysztof Pozniak have been accepted in the society.
